WHY ARE THERE MANY SOLDIERS NEAR BTS STATION?
I SAW SOME SOLDIERS WITH WEAPONS STANDING AROUND PHYATHAI BTS STATION. I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY ARE THERE. ARE THEY THERE TO PROTECT US? ARE THEY THERE TO KILL US? ARE THEY THERE TO TAKE AWAY OUR FREEDOM? I DON'T KNOW. BUT I HATE WHAT I SAW.
Having soldiers equipped with full battle gear patrolling in the middle of cosmopolitan, wealthy, sophisticated Bangkok is some sort of an apocalyptic sign to me.
May be this is the time for people like you and me to learn how to mix some Molotov Cocktail.
It seems like we were on the way out of this mess since May 1992. But once the majority fall into preys of the political marketing strategy designed specially for those lowest common denominators, then the basic principles of democracy has gone down astray for all of us.
At least there's a lesson to be learned I guess ... Never underestimate the stupidity of your fellow compatriots!
I’m afraid it might be too late for me to learn to mix some Molotov Cocktail. Maybe I should start buying some machetes to defend myself and my teddy bears when the coup and civil war breaks out.
I used to think that Thai people might not be as easily demonized as in the event of Oct 6, 1976 again. Now it is proved that I was wrong. Thai people are still easily demonized. When I was a very small child, I also used to think that the most evil people are the powerful people who are greedy for money. But when I grew up, I turned to believe that the most evil people are those people who don’t care for other people’s rights and freedom or those who think that limiting other people’s freedom is a good thing. It is sad that millions of Thai people fall into this category. I am now full of hatred for these Thai people.
