I wish some critics write a book or an article exploring cosmology in these films, or the relationships between the universe and human characters/human consciousness in these films. How do these films portray the universe? How do these films link the universe to the stories of their human characters? Does the universe in these films symbolize anything? How scientific is each of these films? How spiritual is each of these films? Does each of these films provoke us to question our own existence? Etc.

I first thought about this topic a few years ago when I saw HITLER: A FILM FROM GERMANY at Thammasat. I was shocked when I saw that the film devotes about half an hour to talk about the universe. How could it link the topic of Hitler to the universe? I like this kind of "unlikely connection" very much. Then, a few years later, I thought about this topic again when I saw that Graiwoot and P May compare MUNDANE HISTORY with NOSTALGIA FOR THE LIGHT, because both films deal with the unlikely connection between the universe and human oppression, or something like that. I think about this topic again now because of the film CELESTIAL PALACE, because it also presents an unlikely connection between something in the universe and the lives of construction workers.
