POLL 75: HANDSOME CHINESE-SPEAKING ACTORS

POLL 75: HANDSOME CHINESE-SPEAKING ACTORS

My poll 75 is inspired by a recent discussion with my friends on Facebook. It is also inspired by MURDERER (2009, Chow Hin Yeung Roy, A+), which shows that Aaron Kwok is very talented, handsome and sexy. I think he is still as sexy as he was twenty years ago when he acted in SAVIOUR OF THE SOUL (1991, David Lai + Corey Yuen, A+).

I used the word "Chinese-speaking", instead of "Chinese", here, because I want this poll to include actors from the mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

I THINK THESE CHINESE-SPEAKING ACTORS ARE VERY HANDSOME. WHICH ONES DO YOU LIKE?

1.Aaron Kwok – MURDERER (2009, Chow Hin Yeung Roy)

I choose no.1 and no.4,
judging from pictures alone.

This is my reply to a friend in Facebook:

Hahaha. I like Tony Leung Chiu Wai very much, too, especially when he stars in THE GRAND CANAL (ศึกลำน้ำเลือด) (1986). Talking about this Hong Kong TV series, I remember that I felt very frustrated because Channel 3 censored this TV series in Thailand. I think ten episodes of this TV series were not broadcast in Thailand, and I wonder why. The censored episodes deal with the prince who ruthlessly kills some people in his own family so that he can become the king of China. I'm so bored with Thai censorship.

Another old Hong Kong actor I like very much is Koo Gun Chung กู้กวนจง who stars in REINCARNATED (กระบี่ไร้เทียมทาน) (1978).

Nicky Wu is so cute in The Butterfly Lovers and In Between. I also adore Shawn Yue, Nicholas Tse and Guo Xiaodong. But my favorite one is Chan Kwok-Kwan, he's an all-time supporting actor in Stephen Chow's films.

I haven't seen IN BETWEEN yet, but it seems very interesting. I just looked for its information and found that Sylvia Chang and Maggie Cheung are in it. The last time I saw Nicky Wu is in A BATTLE OF WITS (A+). I think he is still very handsome, but his role is too little.

Teepanun, do you have telepathy? Yesterday Noinong and I just had a long debate about whether Chan Kwok-Kwan is really handsome or not. If I remember it correctly, I think he is very sexy in I'LL CALL YOU (2006, Lam Chi Chung, A-), but he looks just a bit handsome in KUNG FU HUSTLE (A+). I tried to search for his pictures on the internet, but there are too few pictures of him. So I'm not sure if he is always as handsome as in I'LL CALL YOU or not. I decided not to include him in the poll and put Takeshi Kaneshiro in the poll instead.

I just found out that Chan Kwok Kwan is one of my most desirable actors in 2006.

Telepathy? No, I just think about Chinese men all the time, that's all. LOL

Believe me Chan Kwok-Kwan is sooooooo cute. I can't get enough of him, hahaha. I mean I tried to watch all of his works, sadly most of them are stupid Lunar new year films.
