Chaloemkiat Saeyong's new film is EMPLOYEES LEAVING THE LUMIERE FACTORY

THAI FILM WISH LIST: EMPLOYEES LEAVING THE LUMIERE FACTORY (2010, Chaloemkiat Saeyong, 31 min). This film will be shown in the Doi Saket International Film Festival.

I also want to see BAIYOK (2010, Chaloemkiat Saeyong), which will also be shown at the Doi Saket International Film Festival. I guess this film was shot by a mobile phone and is a tribute to EMPIRE (1964, Andy Warhol, 8 hours and 5 minutes).

Other Films I wish to see:
1.WORKERS LEAVING THE FACTORY (1995, Harun Farocki)

This essay film contains footages from the Lumière's film, footage of workers at Ford company, footage of workers at Siemens leaving a factory to attend a Nazi rally, footages from METROPOLIS (Fritz Lang), DESERTER (Vsevolod Pudovkin), THEY CLASH BY NIGHT (Fritz Lang), THE KILLERS (Robert Siodmak), ACCATONE (Pier Paolo Pasolini), RED DESERT (Michelangelo Antonioni), and MODERN TIMES (Charles Chaplin).

Acquarello wrote about this film here:

2.WOMEN WORKERS LEAVING THE FACTORY (2005, José Luis Torres Leiva, Chile)
Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Graiwoot Chulphongsathorn like this film very much.

Anocha Suwichakornpong also paid a tribute to EMPLOYEES LEAVING THE LUMIÈRE FACTORY (1895, Louis Lumière) in her film LIKE REAL LOVE (2008).
