I just went to see a Thai play called WAITING FOR G.D. (2008, Damkerng Thitapiyasak, A+++++), which is adapted from WAITING FOR GODOT. I was stunned by the performance of Farida Jirapan in one scene. Farida’s performance in that scene can be compared to the performance of Isabelle Adjani in the metro scene in POSSESSION (1981, Andrzej Zulawski, A+) in its intensity and uncontrollable, untamable power.

I've been waiting for Godot, for a long time.
I don’t know what Godot stands for, but the play reminds me that I don’t know what I’m really living for. I think I don’t have faith in anything any more. I have never believed in religions, nation, or love, though I believe that there are still some good people around me.
