I like the bus stop in this film very much. It doesn't attempt to look real at all. This is my favorite set decoration of the year 2010.

I think this film may try too hard to be poetic, but I like some of its ideas. At first it looks like this film is just a behind-the-scene documentary about the making of SOMWANG 2552 (2009, Thitiwat Samitinan, A+), but it turns out to be much more than that. It becomes a semi-experimental, atmospheric film. It also makes me think about the documentary SECOND-CLASS THEATRE (2005, Norachai Kajchapanont, 12 min, A+). I wonder if the ruined theatre in SOMWANG 2553 is the same theatre presented in SECOND-CLASS THEATRE. If the answer is yes, I think SOMWANG 2553 can be considered as both a sequel to SOMWANG 2552 and to SECOND-CLASS THEATRE.

I don't understand this film, but I think it is not as "strange" or "unique" as I wish it could be. The images in this film look too much like the images in many Thai experimental/atmospheric films, though the part about the woman makes this film a bit different from others.

I don't remember much about this film. If I remember it correctly, this is a kind of films about kids or a kind of message films that I don't normally like.

I think this film gives me the same kind of feelings I get from some cult films. The first part is effectively mysterious. The second part in which the monsters appear looks a bit ridiculous, but the funny looks of these creatures make them very memorable. These creatures may not be appropriate to appear in a serious film, but they would be very useful in a cult film. The funny and strange feelings I get from MIND remind me of THE BODY BENEATH (1970, Andy Milligan).
