--One of the romantic relationships that I like very much is the relationship between Queen Margot (Isabelle Adjani) and La Mole (Vincent Perez) in QUEEN MARGOT (1994, Patrice Chereau, A+). I also saw the older version—QUEEN MARGOT (1954, Jean Dreville, B), which stars Jeanne Moreau, but I think the new version is more exciting.

The story of QUEEN MARGOT also concerns the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre and Catherine de Medici (Virna Lisi). I think it is a very interesting subject.

Thanks very much for your comment. There are also two other films which I should have included in this poll, because I love them very much: ALWAYS (Steven Spielberg, A++++++++++) and MY LEFT EYE SEES GHOSTS (2002, Johnny To + Wai Ka-fai, A+++++). These two films are the kind of love I’m looking for: love without the need to possess or love without jealousy. The heroes of these two films are happy to see their girlfriends being happy with other guys. These are two of my most favorite romantic films of all time.
