ALWAYS REMEMBER WHO TAKE AWAY OUR FREEDOM

I have been told that the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) of Thailand has passed a law to limit the freedom of film viewing in Thailand with 79 votes on December 20. This Assembly was appointed by the military junta.

You can read the details in English at Wise Kwai’s blog:
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/vine/journal_view.php?journalid=100000335&entryid=466645&view=public

You can read the details in Thai at:

I don’t know who are the 79 people who pass this law. Maybe you can find out who pass this law if you call the Senate call center at 02-244-1777 to 8.

As for now, I don’t know what the future may bring. If the laws passed by the NLA bring good things to us, we should always be grateful for them. But if the laws passed by the NLA take away our freedom, we should always remember WHO take away our freedom.

I don’t know about politics. I try to find out the list of the NLA members. There is an English list at the Nation Newspaper’s website, which lists 242 members as of 12 October 2006. There is also a Thai list at the Senate’s website. This Thai list has 250 members.
