POLL 73: MINI-SERIES

POLL 73: MINI-SERIES

My poll 73 is inspired by DOMBAIS ET FILS (2007, Laurent, Jaoui, 180 min, A+++++++++++++++), a French mini-series I just saw. I think it is one of my most favorite mini-series of all time, because Edith de Préville, a character in this mini-series, is one of my most favorite characters ever. She is an extremely indomitable woman.

DOMBAIS ET FILS shares one important thing with other mini-series I love. They are not aesthetically interesting. I just love their stories. I decided to make a list of my favorite mini-series, and found that only two of them are really aesthetically interesting – BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ and A TIME OF INDIFFERENCE. I wonder if there are other mini-series which are aesthetically interesting or are interesting because of their "forms" or "styles", not only because of their "contents".

THESE ARE MY FAVORITE MINI-SERIES. WHICH ONES DO YOU LIKE?

1.BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ (1980, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, 894 min)
