I’m very impressed to know that THE PEN, a 60-minute film, is made by just 1,700 baht. (50 US dollar). I also like Weerasak’s interview very much. It’s great to know how he made the musical score for his own film, and how he edited his film. Weerasak edits his film by not using any computer programs. He just uses his video camera to edit all the scenes together. He just shoots the scenes in the same order as it appears in the script or in the final version. He shoots the first scene. Stop. Then he shoots the second scene. Stop. Then he shoots the third scene...... And that’s the way he edits his films. I wonder if any other filmmakers use this method to edit their films.

I laughed a lot while watching THE PEN for a second time, especially the scene in which the face of Kimruedee appears repeatedly. I also like the scene in which the little boy is wearing the ghost mask of Kimruedee and the T-shirt which says we love... . Another scene which makes me laugh everytime I think of it is the scene in which the father talks to his son about a monk, and then the father walks out of the scene, but his walking looks very strange because of some special effects.
