กลอนของน้อง BOAT

They’re simple. They’re silent. But listen closely, and you can hear stories floating in the air.Like whispers.....

กลอนของ MDS

THEY’RE SLIM
THEY’RE SOFT
BUT SMELL CLOSELY
AND YOU CAN SENSE SOME BLOOD FLOATING IN THE AIR
LIKE ผ้าอนามัย WHISPER

Lev Kuleshov, who is credited by Eisenstein and Pudovkin with having taught them the elements of montage, might have been influenced by the latter in his choice of this material, which was a grim Jack London short story ("The Unexpected"). Set in the Yukon in the late 19th century, the film focuses on a gold prospector suffering from cabin fever who has killed two of his partners over his cut of the haul. His remaining partner and the partner's wife tie up the wounded murderer, waiting until they can turn him in. Intended as a critique of capitalism, the film features extraordinary montage and lighting effects.

Lenin returns in April. In July, counter-revolutionaries put down a spontaneous revolt, and Lenin's arrest is ordered. By late October, the Bolsheviks are ready to strike: ten days will shake the world. While the Mensheviks vacillate, an advance guard infiltrates the palace. Anatov-Oveyenko leads the attack and signs the proclamation dissolving the provisional government.

1.ALCOHOLISM AND ITS ILL EFFECTS (1913, KHANZHONKOV STUDIOS)
http://www.filmfestivalrotterdam.com/filmdb/380/b29ac18d-4432-4c5c-bd1d-1db766b25d89.jpg

Alcoholism and its Ill-Effects was considered to be one of the most popular science propaganda (or educational) films produced in Russia before the revolution of 1917. Alexander Khanzhonkov, the most prominent Russian film producer of that era, financed a special department dedicated to non-fictional cinema, despite the fact that such films were not commercially successful. Unfortunately, not a single copy of the film has survived to the present day. All that remains are 12 frames, which were used by Izvolov to create this reconstruction. He also used extracts from critical reviews, published at the time of the film’s release, to produce a soundtrack.

2. THE PROJECT OF ENGINEER PRITE (1918, LEV KULESHOV)

Short Russian feature from 1918 about the life and work of Engineer Prajt. Filled with scientific secrets and puzzles and always the target for various interpretations, commentaries and theories in Russia.

This is the debut film by Lev Kuleshov (1899–1970), who later became a classic Soviet film director and is particularly known for the invention of the famous editing method now known as the Kuleshov Effect. This film presented a host of scientific mysteries and puzzles which had to be solved during Izvolov’s reconstruction. The film has been the subject of numerous interpretations, commentaries and scientific theories. This is precisely why it was chosen as suitable material for demonstration of the new method of Digital Academic Film Commentary at work.
