SLOW GLASS BY NAOYA HATAKEYAMA


I just saw LIFE IS SHORT 2 (2003-2006, Tossapol Boonsinsukh, A+) for the second time last Friday. I like the ending scene of this film very much. It was shot from inside a moving car, looking outside through a window covered with raindrops. This beautiful image conveys a deep sense of loneliness, longing, and sadness.

This image in Tossapol’s film also reminds of photos by Naoya Hatakeyama. The photo series is called SLOW GLASS (2001). You can viewed the photos from the link below:
